
Alexandra Rose Raisman, born May 25 1994 was an American retired artistic gymnast. She is also twice an Olympian. She was captain of both the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She received the gold medal at the team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas as her teammate also won gold. Raisman won silver medals for the individual all-aroundevent, as well as the floor exercise. Raisman also earned silver medals for the individual all around and for floor exercise. She was also two-time national champion in floor exercises (2012 and 2015), and the national champion in balance beam in 2012. She was also five times medalist in the national championships for all-around (silver, bronze, 2010 2011 and 2012 and). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
